We Are Usually Asked About

  • We are situated at 827 Mount Alexander Road Moonee Ponds – just a short walk away from both Essendon and Moonee Ponds train stations. There is parking available on site and surrounding the centre. You can also catch bus routes 476 or 477 or tram 56 (stop at corner Fletcher and Napier Street).

  • We are open Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm and closed on weekends.

    Melbourne Pathology is open on Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm.

    We also have Melbourne Pathology and cardiac services provided by Heartscope Victoria operating at our centre.

  • Yes, a referral is required for all of our specialists. Please make sure this has been organized prior to your appointment.

  • Although we are predominantly a private practice, we do value patient care and understand every situation is unique. Please contact us to find out more about our fees.

  • We ask you please bring your referral, Medicare or Veterans card and Health Care card or Pension card if applicable. Any other relevant documentation such as most recent blood test results, x-rays or any other reports you feel will be important to us for future reference would also be appreciated.

  • Thanks to our TYRO integrated payment system, we can offer patients the option of having their Medicare rebate deposited directly back into their account if they have a savings card with them on the day of their appointment. Otherwise, the payment will be processed with Medicare and they will deposit the money back into your nominated account or send you a cheque in the mail.

  • Most certainly, just please notify us two weeks before the appointment and we will organize for an interpreter.

  • Some of our doctors are now providing TeleHealth services to patients living in rural or regional areas. What this means is that patients are able to connect with our doctors via Skype for a specialist video consultation. This is a bulk billed service, but a referral form from a GP is still required as normal. Further information about the MBS Telehealth initiative can be found on www.mbsonline.gov.au/telehealth
