Dr Al-Moktar graduated from Baghdad Medical School in 1989, and achieved his fellowship in internal medicine in 1999 from Baghdad University (FICMS). In Australia, Dr Al-Moktar has completed training in Internal Medicine and then advanced training in Nephrology (Victoria and New South Wales). In 2014, Dr Al-Moktar was granted FRACP.
